West Michigan’s Week In Construction
It’s Monday morning, and that means a new week of construction is here in West Michigan. This week, construction starts on Eastbound and Westbound 94, and a new construction projects is announced on the Southeast side of GR. Division Ave. is down to one lane between Wealthy and Fulton Sts.
Next weekend, the construction will extend north to Michigan St.
BETWEEN KALAMAZOO AND BENTON HARBOR — night work:
Westbound 94 from Oshtemo (Exit 72) to Hartford (Exit 46).
One-lane-squeeze, 7 p.m.. to 6 a.m. — through Friday morning, for bridge repairs.
SOUTH OF BENTON HARBOR — starting Monday:
Eastbound I-94 will be down to one lane from the Sawyer exit to the Stevensville Exit
The one-lane-squeeze is for concrete patching in two-mile stretches — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Burton St. is CLOSED between Breton and Kalamazoo Aves., June 30.
For reconstruction of Plymouth between Burton and Boston — which will go into September.
HART AND PENTWATER
US-31 is one lane both ways between Polk Rd. (Exit 149) and Monroe Rd. (Exit 154).
SOUTH OF SOUTH HAVEN
I-196 is down to one lane both ways South of M-140, at 20th Ave.
NORTH OF BENTON HARBOR
I-196 is down to one lane both ways at Coloma Rd. (Exit 4).
The Northbound 131 off-ramp to 142nd Ave. is closed for reconstruction of the overpass
142nd Ave. is also closed at 131
I-94 between US 131 and Oakland Dr.
Reconstruction of the Westnedge Ave. interchange — 94 has two lanes open both ways, but they’re tight.
Ramps closures — both westbound off-ramps, both on-ramps from southbound, eastbound-to-northbound, and northbound-to-westbound.
