The owner of a bakery in West Michigan is upset after she claims a customer cancelled their order after finding out the bakery owner is a Muslim.

Zeinab Mohamed told FOX-17 that as soon as the customer discovered her last name, she canceled the order. The woman said that her husband was a war veteran, and would not accept a cake made by a Muslim.

Mohamed was taken aback, not only because of what was said, but because while her husband is a Muslim, he's also a war veteran.

The hurtful Facebook message read:

Hey actually were [sic] going to order our cake somewhere else my husband just found out your [sic] Muslim.  And I'm not against it but he is because he was in Iraq fighting for our country against your people.  He even changed his new doctor because the new one he was referred to was Muslim and he just said somethings [sic] and said he doesnt [sic] feel comfortable having you make our cake. I'm so sorry

Mohamed explained to FOX-17 that while she is Muslim, she is not from Iraq, she's actually from Somalia. And her husband Javon Borst is a Muslim who served in the U.S. Navy as a medic.

The owners of the bakery are taking the high road and said that they will not reveal the name of the customer.
