Lorde stormed onto the scene in 2013, and made everyone immediately fall in love with her. In fact, she ended up being the youngest artist to top the charts since Tiffany back in the 80's! Her debut single, "Royals" is the perfect mix of a great beat and soulful vocals, and that's what landed it at No. 5 on my list of the top 10 songs of 2013. 

Seriously, this girl is only 17, and she has some serious pipes! Regardless of her age, though, she's a super talented singer, and the lyrics of this song are pretty spot on, too.

The album that the song appeared on "Pure Heroine" was nominated for four Grammy's.
