Wendy Reed Says Farewell – But Only Sort Of [Video]

If you've been listening this week, you've heard me talking on the air about how I will no longer be hosting my show on Channel 957 every day during the week, and chatting with our new midday host Christine. Tomorrow (Friday, July 10) will be my last show on Channel 957.

I wanted to take a minute to say farewell (even though you'll still be hearing me from time to time on the station) and to thank all of you, the listeners, for listening to my show and supporting me over the years. 

I've been with Channel 957 since its inception, and it's a weird feeling to be down to my last show, but don't worry! I'm not going anywhere, really. I've accepted a new job with my company, and will now be handling all of our digital content for all of the stations we own here in Grand Rapids.

I've been able to do a lot of fun and amazing things in my time on the air on Channel 957 - numerous events, getting involved with the YWCA, and donating my hair - twice. I've read entries from my teenage journals for everyone to hear, and I've proven to you all that I'm completely makeup challenged. I even trained for and then participated in a boxing match. (Oh - and remember that time we made Froot Loops Jell-o Shots in the breakroom?)

My time doing my show on the station is something that I'll never forget. It helped me grow so much both professionally and as a person. It helped me gain confidence. It helped me make connections with people and organizations throughout the community that I may have never had a chance to get without it.

I'm going to miss hosting a show every day. I'm going to miss the Throwback Lunch. But mostly, I'm going to miss you - all of you.

So thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart.

Like I said, I'll still be around the station, I'll still be out at events like Sun of a Beach, Dessert Wars, America On Tap, The Amway Family Fireworks, and the Insane Inflatable 5K. I'll just be the crazy lady behind the camera.
