The 2016 Summer Olympics kick off in Rio this weekend; Friday night to be exact.  Want to be a part of the excitement without having to go to Rio?

This weekend, in downtown Grand Rapids at Rosa Parks Circle, they're having a FREE Opening Ceremony Watch Party!

It kicks off Friday evening with the start of the ceremonies at 7 p.m.  and will go on all weekend through Sunday night at 11 p.m.

They'll have the video wall set up on the stage at Rosa Parks Circle and encourage you to bring your lawn chair and even a picnic.  Just leave the alcohol at home, as it's not allowed at the event.

The Olympics are always such an exciting event, it'll be fun to watch it with others that are sharing in that excitement.  And like I said, it's free!!
