Want to Look Professional? Don’t Do These Things

Perception is reality, you can wear the nicest of clothes to work, but that doesn't mean you're being perceived as professional.

An article from Inc.com, covers some of the things you may be doing, that make you look ultra unprofessional.

Using profanity at work tops the list, they say you might be able to get away with it occasionally, but dropping the f-bomb is probably not the best idea.

A lot of what the article points out is common sense, but we all know that is hard to come by. Being late for work and meetings, checking out attractive co-workers, being flaky and unorganized will give you demerits in your professional perception file as well.

Other things like over-promising when you can't deliver, and using words such as "like" or "uh," are also black marks.
