A study was recently conducted that showed eating vegetables can provide a healthier, more attractive glow than getting a tan.

Eating vegetables gives a healthy carotenoid coloration as opposed to a melanin coloration caused by the sun.

A sample of 60 people were asked to rate how attractive people were based on skin pigmentation.  More than three quarters of the volunteers chose people who had a glow from vegetables.

The veggies that have the highest amounts of carotenoids are sweet potatoes, carrots, tomato juice, pumpkin, spinach, and broccoli.

So looks like your mom was right, eat your vegetables!
