Just when you thought the election was over and people would start talking about things other than politics...  Bam!  The election results are moving back to the forefront again as Jill Stein has initiated a recount in 3 states.  The Jill Stein Campaign raised over $6 million from private citizens to recount the election results in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The announcement that the Stein Campaign was raising money for a recount in three key battleground states was made on Wednesday, November 23rd.  (Just in time for families to argue about it at Thanksgiving!)  The campaign raised all of the money needed, and then some, in time to issue official recounts of the ballots in WI, PA, and MI.

The Detroit Free Press reported that "Michigan’s Board of Canvassers is scheduled to certify the state’s election results at 2 p.m. Monday." and following the certification, Jill Stein has until November 30th to officially submit the request for a recount.  She has stated that she will be requesting a recount.

The recount process will be a massive effort that will include counting ballots from over 6,300 precincts in Michigan.  That's where you come in.  You can help out the process by volunteering to participate in the recount.  It is unclear as to whether you'd be actually counting votes, or just overseeing the process, but either way you can help!  You can apply to be a volunteer by heading over to Jill Stein's web page and filling out a form.

If you are wondering how the recount process works, you can check out this article from The Detroit Free Press.  Each state's recount system is different, and Stein made a video specifically for Pennsylvania, which you can check out below.
