You dial that phone number. Ring, ring, ring and no answer. You hear the voicemail message begin. What next?

Well, according to new etiquette rules for cell phones, if you are not leaving a life or death message you really need to hang up and call back later or send a text.

This comes from a New York Times article about cell phone etiquette.

The Times says that leaving a message is a huge burden for the other person because of the hassle of listening to it, (it's PRESSING A FEW BUTTONS!!) so in theory you should make it easier for them by sending a text.

What do you think? Do you hate getting voicemail?
