Victoria Justice graduated from Nickelodeon teen actress to thriller star in her new series, Eye Candy. But even though she's been focused on the MTV show, Victoria is ready to return to her musical roots.

“Now that I have a little bit of a break from the show, I’m definitely getting the itch to get back in the studio and start writing again," she told WhoWhatWear's Byrdie. "I miss performing so much. I miss being on stage and being able to share my music with people. Whether I sign to another label, I’m not sure, but I might just release stuff on my own just so my fans can hear it and I can share that with the world.”

Known for belting out the big notes on Victorious, Victoria also pursued her own solo music career and released a number of singles including her 2013 song, "Gold." And let's not forget about her covers, including a fabulous rendition of "Stay the Night" by Zedd and Paramore's Hayley Williams.

She already alluded to the possibility of doing a collaboration with former Victorious co-star Ariana Grande. So perhaps this break from Eye Candy will really make this a reality.

During the interview she also gushed about her current beau, co-star Pierson Fode, and talked about her transition from Nickelodeon to MTV. "I think doing Eye Candy was the perfect next step for me," she said. "When you have a show on Nickelodeon, you know it has a shelf life. It was important after being on that network for so long, and people seeing me as Lola on Zoey 101 and as Tory on Victorious, that I leave a new character in their mind… I loved that it was a thriller, that it was dark, gory, and very sexy all at the same time.”
