It's always interesting to me how people judge others based on their name.  Yes, I'm guilty of it, too.

For example, my brother-in-law is named Elmer.  Based on the name, you'd think he was 80; he's 42 years old.  One of my friends named their girl Madeline; that's also the name of my 94 year old grandmother.

It's easy to make snap judgments based on a name.  Take, for example, a new survey outlining the most "unattractive names" based on dating sites.  Now, this was done by Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, so it doesn't apply fully to the US, but...

They sent emails with just name, age and zipcode to 45,000 online dating members.  They found certain names were more likely to get clicked.

Most likely to be clicked?  Jacob, Alexander, Charlotte, Emma, Hannah, Max, Marie, Peter and Mark.

Least likey to be clicked?   Kevin, Justin, Marvin, Dennis, Mandy, Celina, Chantal and Jacqueline.

Interesting.  Would love to know what this looks like in the US!
