Ah, young love. It can be so great yet so heartbreaking. When it comes to teenage love, it can go up into flames.... literally.

Two 18-year-old boys from Alaska were looking for a place to a burn love letter from an ex-girlfriend. So, instead of just throwing it in a fireplace or something simple they decided to be dramatic because, as you know, drama is the centerpiece of a teenager's life. The two teens decided to burn the letter at a playground, near an elementary school.

They set the note on fire and left. Not realizing that the playground was covered in rubber mulch, it caught fire. According to Alaska Dispatch News, firefighters were called to the scene last Monday night, and it took two crews about 30 minutes to contain the fire. The fire cost around $21,000 in damages.

The two teens were arrested and both charged with a felony and a misdemeanor.
