Growing up, my mom always told us to wish upon the stars.  Especially the first star you see of the night, is supposed to be the star that makes wishes come true.  She also told us to never waste a shooting star.

That would be why I’m so excited the Perseid Meteor Shower is happening, now through August 24th! The prime viewing or peak of the meteor shower is happening Thursday night going into Friday morning of this week.

So if you’re needing a wish to come true, grab a chair or blanket and head out somewhere dark and watch for the magic.  Scientists say we could see anywhere from 100 to 200 shooting stars per hour, which great, because I have a lot of wishes to make… and some I really want to come true!

Now, there’s a possibility we could have clouds and maybe even a thunderstorm Thursday, and if that happens apparently you can stream the meteor shower online HERE.  Although, I don’t know if wishes still come true when watching a video feed, you know, because it’s not real life and it’s delayed...
