Three Michigan Companies Among ‘Best 100 To Work For’ In U.S.

FORTUNE Magazine has again released their list of "best 100" places to work in the U.S.  Michigan had three companies named to the 14th annual list, including one West Michigan company.

Benefits and wages are major considerations when deciding the 100 best places to work, but there are many other factors.

Two-thirds of the score given to each company comes from the results of a survey given to random employees which asks them about management's credibility, job satisfaction, and camaraderie.  The other third of the score is based on pay, benefits, hiring practices, diversity, training, recognition programs, and internal communications.

Three Michigan companies made the list:

• Plante Moran
• Quicken Loans
• Stryker

Kalamazoo based Stryker was named the 80th best company to work for.

Any company with at least 1,000 employees, that is at least 7 years old was eligible to participate in the survey to select the top 100.  The full results will be published in FORTUNE Magazine's February 7 issue.  See more results here.
