A new dad was forced to make a huge decision -- one he shouldn't have to make.

Samuel Forrest, of Armenia, went to the room with nurses and doctors to meet his newborn son recently for the first time. That is when out his son had Down Syndrome.

Forrest told ABC News: "I had a few moments of shock."

He decided his son is beautiful and perfect and he is absolutely keeping him. His wife, however, said if he kept the baby, she was going to get a divorce, ABC News reported.

Forrest decided to keep the baby and his wife has filed for divorce.

He now plans to move his son, Leo, to his native New Zealand so he can get help raising him with his family. Also, he is enlisting additional assistance through his GoFundMe page titled Bring Leo Home and hopes to raise $60,000.
