This can't be true? The Voice is a more popular than American Idol, Again? That's what most in Hollywood are thinking after this past week's ratings came out.

An amazing 37.6 million viewers tuned in to the show, nearly double. American Idol's premiere audience ratings of 21.6 million. Adam Levine and gang followed the most watched Super Bowl ever, and its Monday night show gained 17.7 million viewers. A huge fall but still on par with Idol's average audience.

Does Idol have reason for panic? Viewers could argue that The Voice's audition process is a exciting change of pace from what's become a lame, Idol format. But that does not change the fact that the people on The Voice just can't sing... In my opinion.

Sure, the show is cheesy, but there's no denying the reasoning that comes with a singer who's judged purely on their vocals and not their "look." The crowd seems to get a kick out of Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine, as they compete against each other to try to get the best singers. Too bad all the best singers are on X-Factor and American Idol... In my opinion.
