Paramount would have had to release "The Wolf of Wall Street" in 2014 if not for the speedy skills of director Martin Scorsese and his team.

The film was released Christmas Day.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as The Wolf of Wall Street himself, corrupt stockbroker Jordan Belfort.

He's surrounded by a cast that includes Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie of 'About Time' and former 'Walking Dead' star Jon Bernthal.

Paramount describes the story of "The Wolf of Wall Street;"

From the American dream to corporate greed, Belfort goes from penny stocks and righteousness to IPOs and a life of corruption in the late '80s. Excess success and affluence in his early twenties as founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont warranted Belfort the title – “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
