The 5 Best Places To Celebrate Sunday Funday In Grand Rapids
Sunday Funday. I don't know if it's a new phenomenon, or if I just know more about it now with the invent of Facebook, but it seems that Sunday has become THE day to go out and party for some people. So, I figured I should do some research for you guys and make a list of five of the best Sunday Fundays in Grand Rapids.
The Birch Lodge
Located right in the heart of Michigan Street, the Birch Lodge is where I originally discovered Sunday Funday (or, as they like to call it, “Church At The Birch”). The Birch Lodge offers a make your own Bloody Mary Bar, mimosas, beer specials, and the real kicker, a free taco bar for anyone who purchases a beverage! Get there early though, seating fills up fast!
25 Kitchen + Bar
25 Kitchen + Bar, located conveniently right next to Van Andel Arena, is another hot spot in Grand Rapids for Sunday Funday revelry. Their doors open at 11a.m. and you can enjoy a $3 Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar (seems to be a Sunday Funday staple). Plus, their awesome wood-fired pizzas are only $5!
O'Tooles Public House, located on Bridge Street, is another Sunday Funday hotspot that can not be missed. Every Sunday, you can enjoy $2.25 Lawnmower Draughts (until midnight), $3 Absolut Bloody Mary Bar, and $4.25 Burger and Fries. Choose your favorite!
Z's, a hidden gem in downtown Grand Rapids, also offers up some great specials for Sunday Funday. $3.00 Bloody Mary's, $3.00 Pints Micro Brews (Founders-All Bells-Magic Hat), and $3.00 Deuces Micro Brews (Founders-All Bells-Magic Hat). Plus, enjoy Z's famous burgers for only $5 from noon until 6pm!
Bob’s Sports Bar
You may think that it looks like a hole in the wall, but Bob's Sports Bar on Michigan Street is a little known place to get some great deals and have a ton of fun on Sunday Funday. They have $5 pitchers of Miller Lite (What?!?), $3 bloody Marys and free hot dogs all day on Sunday. They call it a sports bar, but your experience at Bob's can be whatever you make it.
