Teen Climbs Egypt’s Great Pyramid, Gets Video [Video]

He got arrested, but was able to capture amazing footage.

The 18-year-old German teen made his way up the Great Pyramid of Giza earlier this month. The climb happened in broad daylight, and according to Newser via WZZM-13 the climb could have put him in jail for 3 years.

The teen tells the media that he took the first few steps pretty quick so no one could take him down, then he just started climbing. It took him eight minutes to climb the 455 foot pyramid, police spotted him when he was about half way up.

After taking in the stunning view he made his way down and was arrested. Police eventually let him go without any charges on the condition he deletes all his footage. Clearly not ALL of it got deleted.
