November 13, 2012 We just recently had a dusting of snow here in Grand Rapids, so the heavy stuff is soon to be here over the next few weeks. Driving for sure will be terrible and we will have accidents everywhere. Driving in the snow can be dangerous, but it reminds us, how we turn left in Michigan in the winter.
It's really coming! Sixteen inches of snow is possible between five this afternoon and seven tomorrow (Wednesday) evening ... yikes!

January 18, 2011 It's winter. It's dry and your skin and lips can become super dried in mere minutes, it seems. I've been having that problem lately, in fact, and it seems no matter how much lip balm I put on, my lips never feel better.
Turns out, I was doing things all wrong. Our friends at iVillage tell us that there are a lot of do's and dont's when it comes to lip protection.
December 1, 2010 I am often mocked by those around me for my extreme hatred of cold weather. It's true, though, I hate the cold. The mocking is most certainly because I am from the Upper Peninsula and "should be used to it"
