The sun was out in full force and so was what seemed to be the entire West Michigan population!  I ended up parking behind the marquee you see from 131 in a makeshift gravel, overflow lot!

It felt good, real good to be in the midst of the anticipation of a win for the home opener of the Whitecaps and to be among friends!  There was a lot of chatter, laughter, eating ballpark food and a little bit of watching players show off their skills.

Over 7,000 fans watched the Whitecaps win their season opener today!  It was quite a game.  The Whitecaps came from behind and won 13-12!  And just as important, baseball and warm temperatures mean spring is back!

The Whitecaps' road opener was postponed 3 straight days due to the weather in Lansing.  The early forecast showed today's game could have met the same fate, but things turned out quite differently.
