Stupid COVID-19 is ruining everything, including the annual GR Santa Parade. Due to new restrictions put out by the MDHHS, the GR Jaycees and parade committee decided it was best to say, "maybe next year, Santa."
There are a lot of Christmas related events this weekend along with some comedy and music. We also have a few outdoor activities from skating to fat tire biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. There is The Nutcracker, The Polar Express, Lights Out and Basketball. We also have a Santa Parade and a Santa Train!
The 2016 Art Van Santa Parade presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees is Saturday, November 19.
The parade has named the grand marshal and special musical guest.
If you have a red and green umbrella, tonight may be a good night to show it off. Lowell's Santa Parade and Grand Haven's Jingle Bell Parade are both tonight.
Santa hits Grand Rapids tomorrow! Don't worry if you don't have your Christmas decorations up yet. It's only a trial run for the big guy.
The Grand Rapids Santa Parade is Saturday, November 18, in downtown Grand Rapids.
