This Sunday, anybody can gain free admission to four Grand Rapids museums as part of the Museums Free 4 All program.
Turns out ArtPrize isn't the only way to gain free admission to multiple Grand Rapids museums on the same day.
'Museums Free 4 All' was announced this morning at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. 'Museums Free 4 All' will give all visitors free admission to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Public Museum, and Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
ArtPrize begins September 21 and volunteers are still needed.
You may volunteer through ArtPrize or directly through a venue. ArtPrize Exhibition Centers such as UICA, GRAM, Grand Rapids Public Museum, and Cathedral Square recruit their own volunteers for ArtPrize. They are all still in need of additional help.
I love horses and would have a huge ranch to corral them, if I could afford it!
Sound familiar? I know I'm not alone and that you may have the same dream of owning a horse someday! For now, I live vicariously through others and either watch the annual Kentucky Derby on television (Animal Kingdom won on Saturday and will race at the Preakness Stakes on May 21st) or ride a wooden version of one on a carousel.
Until five today, you can get a free ride on the Dobbin or Old Paint carousel inside the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
The Grand Rapids Public Museum is currently hosting the critically acclaimed exhibit 'Bodies Revealed'. The exhibit arrived in November and will be in town until the 1st of May, and I suggest that you go have a look. This exhibit is amazing, a little creepy at times, but amazing none the less.
This exhibit caught my attention the first time I heard mention of it. And now after a tour of such major cities as Amsterdam, New York, Vienna, Washington D.C., and Montreal... it is arriving in Grand Rapids November 20th!
