Though there are still many decisions yet to be made, Universal and Focus features are adapting '50 Shades of Grey' for the big screen, and the latest news is that 'Anna Karenina' director Joe Wright is currently Universal's top choice for the job.
You either love '50 Shades of Grey' or you're dreading the day when this 'Twilight' fan fiction turned movie will hit the big screen. Regardless, after what seems like forever since the idea for the film version was first announced, E.L. James might finally see her masterpiece in theaters as soon as next summer.

First there were such awesome things as "50 Shades" inspired trading cards, light switch covers, and wine glasses. The, came the "50 Shades" inspired Halloween costumes. And now, "50 Shades Of Grey" inspired clothes. For babies.

Then, there are the pages upon pages of "50 Shades" inspired items for sale on Etsy. And now? Now, there is a name for babies that have been conceived because of their mothers reading "50 Shades Of Grey". They're called "greybies", and the fact that that word exists makes me want to punch someone in the face.

May 24, 2012 The newest book out there that has people buzzing is "50 Shades Of Grey" by E L Thomas, a book that actually started out as "Twilight" fan fiction, but morphed into something even stranger. Many refer to it simply as "mommy porn".
I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into with "50 Shades" and so I sauntered into my favorite local book store and picked it up, thinking nothing of it. The man behind the counter raised an eyebrow at me, but said nothing, rang up my purchase and sent me on my merry way. He also informed me that as of Wednesday, the book had sold over 10 million copies.
