Photographer Brian Kelly and I chat about how he got involved in photography, photographers who inspired him, transitioning from film to digital, the "Laughter and Life" portraits he's created for LaughFest of well known community figures, the LaughFest comedians he's photographed, how he creates his shots and what he wants to communicate with them, videography work he's done for ArtPrize, his recently completed Detroit Portraits project which showcases folks who are making a positive impact in Detroit's rebirth, and about the opening of his new photo studio.
