Ed Sheeran likely won't be back on HBO anytime soon (at least not as a Lannister soldier), plus we really wish they'd offered this music/TV deal back when we were in school, man — all that and more in today's Pop Bits:

When Ed Sheeran briefly appeared on the Season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones to sing a song and chat with Arya Stark, the internet reacted...strongly. Looks like they won't have the "Shape of You" singer to kick around next season, though. "No one wants to see me come back. I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I’ve done the cameo. I’m cool with it, though," he tells MTV.

Great news for all poor college students (and anyone with access to their email addresses): Spotify and Hulu are offering their respective premium packages as a combination deal for current students. Called "Spotify Premium for Students, now with Hulu" (someone fire the marketing department, btw), the bundle costs just five bucks. You can sign up here.

Hope you've finally settled on your fantasy team name, because last night, the NFL season officially began. The defending champion New England Patriots hosted the Kansas City Chiefs, followed by a slate of actually rather interesting games for this early in the season. Weezy announced back in 2013 that he suffered from epilepsy, and he had an incident this weekend. But that won't stop him from getting back in the studio. “He a workaholic thats what got him to where his is now,” his manager told TMZ. “He’s epileptic, that's the reality of it. So it’s something we know we’ll have to deal with the rest of his life.”

For some reason, we don't think that thing's gonna be hanging there all that long. Kinda-sorta reminds us of this proud kitty.
