I know that when I was a kid, the last thing my older brother wanted to do was involve me in any of the sports and things he did with the rest of the boys in the neighborhood, but that's not the case when it comes to Conner and Cayden Long. That is, in part, why they were selected by Sports Illustrated as their SportsKids of the Year for 2012. Find out more about Conner and Cayden after the jump.

Cayden was born with Cerebral Palsy, leaving him unable to walk or talk. His very active older brother, Conner, could have just gone about his life as normal while his little brother sat on the sidelines, but that wasn't what he wanted for him. Instead, Conner took on a sport in which he could involve Cayden - triathlons.

Get out your tissues and watch the video below to learn more about Team Long.

I love how Conner talks about his younger brother, making future plans that include the two of them being together, and his hatred of the "r-word". He's really an amazing kid, I see bright things in his future.
