Spongebob is Credited for Helping Save a Girl’s Life [Video]

A 13-year-old autistic boy from New York is being called a hero after saving his classmate from choking. But he's saying the credit goes to Spongebob Squarepants.

The New York Post reports that Brandon Williams was sitting with his friend in the cafteria when she started to choke on an apple. Before anyone noticed what was going on, Brandon immediately performed the heimlich maneuver.

When asked how he knew what to do he said he learned it from an episode of his favorite cartoon, Spongebob Squarepants.

Although his friend was declared brain dead, she has thankfully recovered. Her and Brandon have been inseparable ever since.
