The Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort will soon be undergoing some changes.

In an 11-0 vote, the Tribal Council of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan approved a motion for funding the casino and Entertainment Hall renovation project.

In a release, CEO Ray Brenny said,

When I was hired nine months ago, I promised to provide a superior focus on improvement. Among the top priorities was to connect with I-5 Design Company, to do an assessment, and to present some design ideas that would improve our guests’ experience.

The project, which is expected to cost $26.5 million, should begin in fall 2017, and be completed by the spring of 2018.

The casino will be adding a brand new sports bar and nigh club near the gaming floor, and the entertainment hall will be updated by enclosing the non-smoking area, and redesigning the Kid's Quest and Cyber Quest areas. Also in the plans are enhanced gaming experiences with a new high limit and VIP lounge area, a relocated poker room, and a re-branding of the current sub shop.

This major renovation project will be one of the largest investments that Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort’s guests have seen since the grand opening back in 1998. The last major renovation was in 2011 when the Firefly Buffet was re-branded to Aurora Buffet and remodeled to provide space for the 24 hour Legends Diner.
