After the tragedy last week at Six Flags over Texas, many of us are asking if roller coasters are worth the risk.

Over the past weekend a woman boarded a roller coaster at Six Flags in Texas and fell out of her seat because her safety restraints failed. There is now questions about whether or not we should be riding roller coasters AT ALL.

Well, the answer is...you shouldn't be worried about riding a roller coaster. Here are the odds:

There's only a 0.000000008% chance that you'll be hurt by a roller coaster. AND, that stat just means 'hurt'....that doesn't necessarily mean you'll suffer the worst fate out there.

So that means in 1.2 million rides...you'll be hurt only 1 time.
