Multiple sources, including our sister station KPEL,  are reporting a shooting at a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.

UPDATE: KPEL’s Bernadette Lee reports that the Grand 16 Theater and the parking lot adjacent to it are roped off as police sweep the theater for explosives.

UPDATE: Lafayette Police Chief Craft says police will address the incident in roughly 45 minutes (9:45 p.m. Louisiana time.)

UPDATE: KPEL is reporting two dead, multiple injuries according to unconfirmed police sources.

UPDATE: According to KATC’s Jim Hummel, sources with the police department are saying there are two dead, including the shooter. City Marshall Brian Pope confirmed the shooter is dead and says six were injured, this according to The Daily Advertiser.

UPDATE: KATC’s Alex Labat is reporting the shooting happened inside a showing of the movie Trainwreck.
