Earlier this month it was announced that Sears would close 26 of their stores, one of them being the Woodland Mall location.

Documents filed to the state indicate that its last day will be on March 26 and 84 people will lose their jobs as a result (78 from the store and six from the auto center). The layoffs are expected to begin on March 19th.

78 K-Mart stores will also be closing their doors this year. The decisions were based on financial losses.

High-end department store, Von Maur, will most likely replace the Sears at Woodland Mall. Other retailers have been proposed for the rest of the space.
