If you could have bad memories removed from your brain would you do it?  Would you have good memories added that you've never actually experienced in real life?  These are the types of questions that our children and our children's children may have to ask themselves.

Neuroscientists have recently discovered how precise molecular mechanisms of memory work and how to manipulate them.  These findings have led scientists to successfully implant memories into a woman's brain and remove memories from a child's.

NOVA on PBS recently did a show that delved into the research and experiments of these scientists.  The show is called Memory Hackers, and you can watch it now on PBS or on their website.
