Lake Michigan rocks, literally!

Yesterday, the Coast Guard was busy pulling swimmers out of the water due to a strong rip current and high waves that either carried people out too far or slammed them into the rocks along the harbor in Holland.

I've always wondered about the signs and flags that are clearly posted along the lakeshore and pier -- wondering why I ALWAYS saw someone swimming when there's a warning not to take the risk.

Yesterday, 28 people were rescued from said conditions that forced authorities to shut down the State Park.  Four people were hurt and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

I guess my reason for posting this blog is to strongly encourage you to take those signs seriously.  It could cost your life and Channel 957 values you too much not to send out this reminder.
