Ritz Koney’s Closure Date Pushed Back to Mid-March

A popular bar in downtown Grand Rapids is getting ready to close, but that closure will be happening later than expected.

Originally, it was thought that Ritz Koney would be closing Monday, but an announcement on their Facebook page says that that date has been moved back. 

The Ritz Koney will now close March 14.

The owners and the landlord came to an agreement to push the closure back.

The owners say that their landlord wants to go in a different direction, but there's been no word as to what restaurant will take its place.

The bar hosted a private going away party this past weekend.
