Our friends at Fubble Entertainment will honor the memory of Grand Rapids' Christmas past with the taping of a local holiday special tonight at the Wealthy Theatre.

And here's how you can attend!

Theresa Thome and Patrick Zeigler of Fubble invite you out to attend the taping of a GR Holiday Special "Holiday Memories of Grand Rapids" that will air on WOOD-TV, Channel 8 on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. and again on Christmas Day at 5 p.m.

The taping will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Wealthy Theatre's Peter Wege Auditorium, 1130 Wealthy SE in Grand Rapids. Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for 12- to 17-year-olds. (Sorry, no one younger than 12 years old is allowed).

The show will feature local musicians and entertainers recalling their past Christmas experiences in the city, and also recalling those who contributed memories to a Facebook page they set up earlier this year.

Theresa and Patrick joined us back in July to talk about their plans to film a movie about Christmas in Grand Rapids called "The Santa Hat".

In addition to tonight's show, retro Christmas decorations have been set up in Grand Rapids after being funded by a Kickstarter campaign by the duo. These include street decorations form the '60s in front of the old Grand Rapids Public Museum at 54 Jefferson SE; a 16-foot tall Christmas candle at Veteran's Memorial Park, which is similar to the candle that used to be at the corner of Fulton Street and Sheldon Avenue; and The Tree of Lights in Monument Park, which resembles the Tree that was in the old Herpolsheimer's department store at Division Avenue and Fulton.
