Tomorrow (Friday, April 22) Comprenew will be taking your old TVs and computer monitors (CRTs) for recycling!  Older monitors and TVs can be very harmful to the environment if not properly recycled.  These old monitors have between 5 and 10 pounds of lead in each unit, and if they end up in a landfill, the lead could contaminate soil, drinking water, and ever reduce air quality in the area.

So instead of letting these old pieces of technology harm the environment, come down and dispose of them properly!  Comprenew will be in downtown Grand Rapids across from Rosa Parks Circle from 10am - 2pm on Friday, April 22nd.  The first 100 CRTs collected will be free!  After that, a fee will be charged ranging from $7 - $50 depending on the size of the CRT.
