Possible Medication to Slow Aging

Would you want to live an extra 20 years? Well that may be a possibility in the near future!

Metformin is a medication used by people with type 2 diabetes but some exciting new studies suggest it could extend people's life span.

Tests done on animals have proven that the medication does extend animals life span.  Tests on human subjects have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration so soon people could be living into their 120's.

A variety of institutions are looking for 3,000 elderly subjects at risk for a variety diseases to test the drugs ability to slow aging. With some luck people will soon be living longer healthier lives.
