The Canadian cutie has ascended to the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on her rookie run, usurping the top spot from Gotye and his smash ‘Somebody That I Used to Know.’ It was time for a new numero uno, since Gotye held the slot for eight weeks. Who better to take the crown that Carly Rae?
One of the most popular songs in the country right now is "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. I see posts and quotes on Facebook from the song, viral videos of baseball teams singing it, and even people on TV are referring to the song. It's popularity was unquestioned before, but I knew it would not be long before the Prez was even singing the song. Everyone have some fun and sing with him.
