There could be some great news for us kids that grew up in the '90s! During 90sFest, a one day music festival in Brooklyn, NY, it seems as though Nickelodeon was promoting something big coming soon with "Splat" signs.

Ever since this past Saturday when the signs were showing up everywhere at 90sFest, people have been freaking out about what exactly Nickelodeon is trying to promote. The rumors have been that there would be a new Nickelodeon channel dedicated to playing '90s cartoons.

Not only were "Splat" signs popping everywhere at 90sFest, there is a YouTube channel, The Splat, with a video titled "The Splat Is Coming" that is a couple minute montage of cartoons that aired on Nickelodeon in the '90s. There is also a basic website, thesplat.com, simply saying #TheSplatIsComing.

Although no official announcements have been made about what this could be exactly, it seems the chance of it being its own channel might not be the case. People seem to be saying that it may just be a segment of daily programming that will run on Nickelodeon in the US.

Although a channel dedicated to '90s cartoons would be amazing, a block of shows throughout the day on Nickelodeon is still pretty awesome. Keep your eye out for an actual announcement by following all The Splat's social media accounts linked at thesplat.com.
