Next Restaurant, in Chicago, is not your typical restaurant.  Their unusual ways begin with your reservation, because they don't offer reservations, they only sell tickets.  The restaurant is in such high demand that they want to totally eliminate the possibility of a patron making a reservation and not showing up.  Continuing down the path of unusual, Next Restaurant has an ever changing menu that morphs multiple times throughout the year.  The current manifestation is called Next Childhood and is inspired by the foods you ate as a child.

Included on the 'Childhood' menu is macaroni and cheese, chicken noodle soup, a lunch box full of childhood snacks, and roasted marshmallows over a campfire.  The meal will send you back in time, reminiscing with your fellow diners about your time as a child.

The meal is a tad on the expensive side, with tickets averaging around $160 per person.  But, with such passion and creativity poured into your meal it will likely prove to be worth it.

The video below will take you through the inspiration and preparation of Next Childhood's menu.
