If you're a germaphobe, you might not want to read this.

CBS News reports that researchers have learned a single germ-laden doorknob can spread a virus through an entire building in a matter of just hours.

In the study, researchers used a harmless virus in place of the norovirus (the common cold). They placed the virus on a doorknob and tabletop at the beginning of the day. A few hours later, they tested various surfaces around the building and found the germs ended up spreading, not only quickly, but widely.

Thinking of your co-worker who was sniffling today?

File this under common sense, the researchers found that using disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer lessons the spread of virus (really?).
