A new sports bar is expected to open this winter in Grand Rapids.

The Blue Moose Sports Pub will replace the now-shut-down Cascade Sports Bar & Grill on 28th Street, in the Cascade Center plaza.

The owners, Robert Aldridge and Jason Starr, plan to completely renovate the [~6,700 sq. ft.] space, including the kitchen and the bar. They are also planning on adding garage doors to give the bar a different outside look.

Aldridge, who also owns the Ada Pour House, posted about the new sports bar on Facebook.

Obviously, you can't leave sports fans hungry. The Blue Moose will have a menu that will be as local as possible. Aldridge told the GRBJ,

Fresh and local product is our first priority...”

The owners said they wanted to bring something local and unique to the Cascade area since much of the restaurants in that area, aren't locally owned.

The Blue Moose will hold up to 175 patrons and plan to hire 25 employees.
