If you get pulled over and then realize you don't have proof of insurance in your car, no worries!

Fox 17 reports a new law that begins January 5, 2016 will allow drivers to show the officer your proof of insurance on your cell phone instead of carrying paper proof with you.

Police suggest carrying a paper version of your proof of insurance just in case you can't pull it up on your phone quickly. They also suggest communicating clearly with the officer that your insurance is on your phone prior to pulling your phone out.
