New Grand Rapids Facility Recycling Appliances For West Michigan Residents

Your old refrigerator or freezer can be recycled at a new facility in Grand Rapids.  In fact, you may be eligible to receive $30 just for getting rid of your old appliance.

JACO Environmental runs the new facility in Grand Rapids.  They have teamed with Consumers Energy to offer a $30 rebate to those that recycle.  They will even pick up the appliance at your house.

You must meet a few criteria to be eligible:

1. The refrigerator or freezer must be clean, empty and in working condition.
2. The unit must meet the size requirement which is 10 cubic feet - 30 cubic feet.
3. You must be a current electric customer of Consumers Energy.
4. You must provide clear and safe access to your appliances for the removal team.
   They will not risk injury or be able to move personal effects or modify your home
   (e.g.: remove door or railings) to remove the unit(s).
