I’ve never really understood disc golf.  Mainly because I seem to suck at throwing a frisbee, but I watch the neighbor kids play it on the weekends in their backyard, and they seem to have fun.  So this will probably be good news to them and hopefully you!

A disc golf course is being built at Muskegon’s Richard Park, near the B.C. Cobb plant.  The 10-hole disc golf course will be named “Boom Park” and will be a course both beginner to intermediate players can play. While the course will feature less wooded areas than a lot of other courses, you will have plenty of hazards to contend with between water, hard-to-hit fairways and the roadway.

According to Don Jensen, the developer of the park

"Although it's not huge in length is very hazardous and very tricky," he said, "Putters, mid-ranges and fairway drivers will be best suited for the course due to the length and hazards. You won't want to throw high-speed discs out here for the most part."

Jensen hopes to have the course completed by the end of August.   He says the hope is, the disc golf course will draw more people to Richard’s Park.
