Michigan Woman Arrested Outside Of White House For Carrying Gun
The woman was outside the White House protesting President Obama's immigration speech.
April Lenhart, 23, of Mount Morris was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Thursday as she was demonstrating along the north fence of the White House. Authorities saw a holstered handgun on her hip, then arrested her.
Lenhart was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition, and carrying a pistol without a license.
Gun laws aren't as relaxed in Washington D.C. as they are in Michigan. After doing some research I found that open carry is prohibited, you can read some info on that here, or here.
