Michigan State Police Trooper Hit By Motorist

UPDATE 8/28 6:07 p.m.:Authorities report Trooper Wolf has passed away from his injuries.

WOOD-TV 8 reports the incident happened on I-75 just north of Detroit in Springfield Township.

Trooper Chad Wolf was on his motorcycle when he was hit by a 72-year-old motorist who was changing lanes to exit the freeway. The motorist stuck Wolf and dragged him several miles before pulling off to a rest area.

Police say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
