A Three Rivers mom who is driven solely by the drive to have her kids outfitted in the best costumes for Halloween and ComicCon, got huge praise online for the Rocket Raccoon costume she came up with for her five-year-old son, Chase. Even the director of the movie she drew her inspiration from reposted her photo of the costume.

Christina Borchardt's dead on recreation of the mouthy 'Guardians of the Galaxy' rodent was so popular online, that eventually it found it's way to "Guardians" director James Gunn's Facebook page, and he shared it it with his fans.

Borchardt told FOX 17 News that she really didn't have a plan for the costume, she just kind of winged it after getting a mold of her son's face to work with.

A quick trip to Christina's Facebook page shows that this isn't the first time she came up with a great costume. She's been doing it for awhile, mainly to feed her family's love of going to ComicCon every year, which is the mecca for costumes based on comic book characters.

"I always see other kids' costumes, and they are great and everything, but they are always store bought," said Christina, "and I like my kids to have the best costumes."

In this video, her son, Chase, deomstrates the working mouth on the Rocket costume, adding to the incredible realism.
