The Michigan Militia has long been a controversial group. Some consider these men and women to be extremists while others say they are simply evoking their second amendment rights and are an integral part of defending citizens' rights. Regardless of your opinion, one thing is certain: The Michigan Militia has struggled to maintain high membership numbers ever since the Oklahoma City bombing and Timothy McVeigh's affiliation with the Militia.

The Michigan Militia was said to be 12,000 strong in the 1990s and was divided into 4 regional chapters. After the Oklahoma City bombing, the Militia experienced a steady decline in membership and went through a restructuring that divided the Militia into 9 districts across the state.

VICE Magazine has recently released their second documentary film on the Michigan Militia and this time they are claiming that some label it's members as "The most dangerous men in America." The 21-minute documentary is titled 'Inside The Michigan Militia' and features a VICE reporter embedding himself in a few different chapters

VICE also released an earlier documentary on the Michigan Militia in 2012 titled 'One of America's Most Notorious Militias'.
